NORMAS PARA A APRESENTAÇÃO DE ARTIGOS


COMITÊ DE ÉTICA EM PESQUISA

Os artigos que envolvem pesquisas com seres humanos devem ter parecer favorável do Comitê de Ética para a publicação. Mais informações no link: http://www.unemat.br/prppg/cep/

Todas as pesquisas realizadas em humanos e relatos de caso devem apresentar o número de protocolo do Comitê de Ética em Pesquisa no item "Material e Método" do artigo submetido.

TRABALHOS ACEITOS

A Revista Ciência e Estudos Acadêmicos de Medicina recebe artigos, relatos de experiências, estudos de caso, ensaios e resenhas. Os trabalhos devem ser inéditos.

FORMATAÇÃO DO ARTIGO

Os artigos devem apresentar 5 a 20 páginas digitadas em fontes Arial ou Times New Roman, tamanho 12, com espaçamento 1,5 e em uma só coluna e face do papel A4, preservando 2 cm nas margens direita e superior e 3 cm nas margens esquerda e inferior (conforme normas da ABNT 2011). O manuscrito deve estar em formato Microsoft Word. As tabelas e gráficos devem estar em formato Excel, e as figuras no formato JPG com 300 dpi (separados do texto).

Página de rosto do original:

- título do artigo elaborado de forma clara e concisa;

- versão do título em inglês;

- nome completo dos autores e respectivos títulos profissionais e acadêmicos;

- instituição;

- nome, endereço e e-mail do autor responsável pela publicação.

- nome e e-mail dos demais autores.

Todo artigo deve apresentar dois resumos: um em português e outro em língua estrangeira – inglês, francês, espanhol. Devem ter no máximo 300 palavras.

O resumo deve:

- indicar o objetivo do trabalho;

- descrever de forma concisa os métodos e técnicas, quando novos, nomear princípios básicos, tipos de operação e grau de exatidão;

- relacionar os resultados em ordem lógica, usando o verbo no passado;

- discutir a compatibilidade ou não entre resultados obtidos e as investigações anteriores;

- usar o verbo na voz ativa e na terceira pessoal do singular;

- evitar as locuções “o autor descreve”, “neste artigo”, “o autor expõe”;

- não adjetivar, não usar parágrafos.

Será o número máximo de cinco, deverá estar escrito em português e em inglês. Serão aceitos somente os descritores de acordo com as metodologias:

Magazine of Science and Academic Studies in Medicine

Call for papers

The MAGAZINE OF SCIENCE AND ACADEMIC STUDIES IN MEDICINE is an online periodical to publish Health Sciences studies, and the editors will be getting articles, essays or reviews for publication. Students, teachers and researchers from Brazilian and foreign universities can submit works.

Clinical medicine requires constant updating and, because of that, our journal provides proper space to publish articles, experience reports and case studies for dissemination of knowledge produced both by teachers and students from medical schools and institutions.

Author Guidelines

Articles must have 5-20 pages. Use Arial or Times New Roman, 12pt, with 1,5 line spacing and A4 portrait. Justify the text in a paragraph on the left and right hand side. Margins must have 2 cm on top and right, and 3 cm on bottom and left (we use Brazilian guideline known as ABNT 2011).

Manuscript must be submitted electronically as a MS Word document (.doc or .docx format). Tables and graphs must be in Excel (.xls). Figures will be accepted with resolution of 300 dpi JPG, and it should be submitted separately. Please add a placeholder note in the running text.

Front page

- Title (short and clear);
- Version of title in Portuguese;
- Author and co-author names with academic and professional description;
- Institution;
- Name, address and email of main author.

Abstract

Abstract should not have more than 300 words. Papers must have two abstracts, one in Portuguese and other one in English, French or Spanish.

Abstract also must:
- indicate object of the study;
- describe shortly technics and methods, when new, and name basic principles, operation types and degree of accuracy;
- relate results in a logical order, using verbs in the past tense;
- discuss compatibility (or not) between results and previously investigations;
- use verbs in active voice and third person singular form;
- avoid expressions as “author describes”, “in this paper”;
- do not use adjectives or paragraphs.

Keywords

Maximum five, written in Portuguese and English. It must follow these methodologies:

Paper formatting guidelines

1. Introduction: author(s) should tell why the article should be written or the study need to be done, grounded in literature, with highlights of the most prominent works
of others related to the subject, clarifying the current state in which the problem is investigated.

2. Material and Methods (or Patients and Methods) (when research involves human beings): describe procedures and variables included in this research, determine and characterize the population and the sample, detailing techniques and new equipment, indicate exact quantities, reference methods and techniques used (including statistical methods).

3. Results: factual description of the observation presented in logical sequence in the text and supported by graphs and tables.

4. Discussion: presentation of obtained data and results achieved. Author must establish compatibility or not with previous results of other authors. Personal communications or publications with a limited scope should be avoided as evidence arguments.

5. Final considerations and conclusions: the fundamental logical deductions on results and discussion should be presented. The findings can be presented in the discussion.

6. Acknowledgements (optional): should be brief, addressed to people and institutions that contributed to this work.


References

Author(s) should number consecutively quotations and cite the initials of the first name. Author(s) must also abbreviate the titles of periodicals according to the list of journals indexed in Index Medicus (http://www.nlm.nih.gov/tsd/serials/lji.html) and follow Vancouver style "Uniform Requirements for Manuscripts Submitted to Biomedical Journals" (http://www.icmje.org/index.html).

Quotations

References in the text are represented by the index number. The author's name is added only in special cases. Example: gown10.

Tables should be typed and submitted on separate sheets, numbered consecutively in Arabic numeral in the order they are cited in the text. Author should avoid vertical and inclined lines. The entity responsible for the data collection must be indicated in the table footer.

All illustrations, photographs, drawings, slides, graphs, and other figures should be numbered consecutively in Arabic numerals in the order they are cited in the text. They must be identified as figure by number and job title. Captions or legends should be submitted on a separate sheet, briefly and clearly.

Images and other elements from another autor that have already been published must be accompanied by reproduction authorization for copyright.
