VAMPIROS E TEMAS TABUS: O UNIVERSO SUBVERSIVO EM “A MORTE AMOROSA” E CARMILLA

Resumo

O objetivo do artigo é estudar o conto “A morte amorosa”, de Théophile Gautier e o romance Carmilla, de Joseph Sheridan Le Fanu para discutir o tema da subversão ligado ao vampirismo. Em um estudo comparativo, pretende-se analisar as narrativas ligadas ao tema da sexualidade e do tabu. Como um monstro cheio de práticas proibidas, o vampiro literário possui um forte apelo sexual e sua presença costuma abalar o status quo, além de provocar repulsa e atração em suas vítimas.
