Abrangência do termo "estratégias" no efeito retroativo de exames de proficiência em língua inglesa

Resumo

O efeito retroativo que testes de proficiência em língua inglesa de alta relevância pode causar no ensino tem sido muito discutido nos estudos sobre avaliação e mostram possibilidades de consequências positivas e também negativas. Muitas vezes, o termo estratégias ou técnicas para fazer um teste é visto de forma negativa pelos atores envolvidos, como se fosse um aspecto que não tivesse relação com as habilidades de uso da língua. O objetivo principal deste artigo é focalizar dois termos pouco explorados quando o efeito retroativo é analisado: a experiência em responder teste (test-wiseness) e estratégias para a realização de testes (test-taking strategies) demonstrando que, muitas vezes, o limite entre eles não está claramente estabelecido. Além disso, busca-se também ressaltar aspectos positivos presentes em ambos pelo aprofundamento de suas definições.
