Transmisión y prevención del VIH/SIDA: Una mirada a los estudiantes de 12ºgrado, Distrito de Lichinga-Mozambique

Objetivo: analizar el conocimiento sobre la transmisión y prevención del VIH/SIDA de los estudiantes de la promoción 12 de cinco Escuelas Secundarias Generales Públicas, de la Ciudad de Lichinga, Provincia de Niassa. Método: se trata de un estudio transversal y cuantitativo. Se utilizó una técnica de muestreo aleatorio simple para seleccionar a los participantes del estudio. El cuestionario constaba de preguntas cerradas sobre VIH/SIDA y se aplicó a una muestra de 352 estudiantes. Los datos fueron analizados mediante el paquete estadístico SPSS, versión 24.0. Resultados: respecto a la transmisión del VIH/SIDA (porcentaje de error) Las mujeres 10,06% (n=153) tuvieron más conocimientos en comparación con los hombres 18,63% (n=199). Para la Prevención del VIH/SIDA (porcentaje de error) Las mujeres 14,28% (n=153) tenían más conocimientos en comparación con los hombres 18,78% (n=199). De los encuestados, el 71,31% (n=352) conocía sobre transmisión y el 66,94% (n=352) sobre prevención. Los estudiantes presentan errores en sus respuestas, siendo Transmisión 28,69% (n=352) y 33,06% (n=352) para Prevención. Conclusión: las estudiantes mujeres tenían mayor conocimiento sobre la transmisión y prevención del VIH/SIDA en comparación con los estudiantes hombres.
