Resumo

Objetivo: observar a migração de larvas durante a infecção aguda por S. venezuelensis em ratos Wistar tratados com acupuntura. Método: trata-se de estudo experimental in vivo, realizado ao longo dos anos de 2016 e 2017. Foram utilizados 15 machos, com idade entre 12 e 14 semanas, separados em três grupos: apenas infectados, infectados e tratados com acupuntura no acuponto VC12 e o outro no E36. O tratamento ocorreu três dias antes da infecção, no dia da infecção, no 3º dia após a infecção, quando os animais foram mortos. A caixa torácica e cavidade abdominal foram abertas para retirada dos pulmões e intestino delgado. As larvas presentes foram recuperadas pela técnica Baermann-Moraes e contadas. Resultados: o tratamento reduziu o número de larvas que migraram para os pulmões e para o intestino delgado, não apresentando diferença entre os acupontos. Conclusão: a acupuntura interfere diretamente na migração de larvas durante a fase pulmonar da infecção por Strongyloides venezuelensis em ratos, favorecendo o hospedeiro.
