About the Journal

Journal Health NPEPS is a scientific publication created in 2016 by the NPEPS Research Group of the University of the State of Mato Grosso (UNEMAT) and linked to the UNEMAT Publishing and hosted on the UNEMAT Periodicals, to encourage the discussion of health-related topics with originality, focusing on training and the constant improvement of health professionals, researchers, managers and the community. Available free of charge, in electronic form and with free access.

Journal Health NPEPS has the mission of promoting the dissemination of scientific studies in the health area with excellence and global reach.

 

Peer Review Process

When submitting the manuscript, the author will receive in the registered e-mail, the submission confirmation containing the link to follow the evaluation process. From this, prior to the evaluation of the manuscript, there will be verification of the entire document by the editorial board as to the adequacy of the editorial line and norms of the journal, novelty, originality and plagiarism (being submitted to copySpider software and through some inconsistency, the author is Notified). From this, the mentioned manuscript will continue for evaluation of the referees. In the identification of inadequacy, the author will be notified for the necessary corrections, having a maximum period of seven days, the deadline not exceeding this deadline, the document will be archived, being at the discretion of the author a new submission, where a new process.

Journal Health NPEPS adopts the policy of double blind evaluation, each article being evaluated by two ad hoc reviewers who are part of the editorial team and external to the journal. The editor-in-chief will electronically forward the manuscript to the reviewer according to his research line and area of expertise. The arbitration system uses external evaluators from the publishing institution (UNEMAT).

The reviewer will have a maximum of seven days to decide whether or not to accept the manuscript for evaluation after receiving the invitation from the editor in chief. Each reviewer will receive for evaluation, the maximum of two manuscripts per month, being able to accept or reject the evaluation in the electronic system of the magazine, without any prejudice to this one. By refusing the evaluation, the manuscript will be forwarded to another reviewer respecting his area of study.


Each reviewer will follow the Basic Guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics-COPE (http://publicationethics.org), after agreeing to evaluate the manuscript submitted by the editor-in-chief of the journal, will have the maximum limit of 30 days to issue electronically, Opinion. For each reviewer, electronic check list will be available, containing all the items that should be evaluated in the manuscript, which at the end of its completion must be attached to the system. The author will have the maximum limit of 10 days to return the manuscript with the corrections and notes of the reviewers and to follow up the evaluation process. Opinions that have double indication to reject the article, the author will be notified of the occurrence and filing. The opinions will be considered by the editorial committee which will issue the final opinion, or in case of divergence between opinions, requests a third opinion.

If the manuscript, after all the editorial stages, is accepted, it will enter the order of publication of the shortest edition, according to the periodicity of the journal. The average between submission and approval is 120 days.

This journal offers immediate free access to its content, following the principle that providing free scientific knowledge to the public provides greater global democratization of knowledge.

This journal does not charge submission and publication.

 

Anti-plagiarism Policy

The Journal Health NPEPS magazine values the integrity of the content that is published, adopting software tools to detect and combat plagiarism, according to Law No. 9.610/98 - Copyright and Art. 184 of the Penal Code (Crime of Infringement of Copyright).
