"The delirium of the verb". On the theoretical-methodological characteristics of TOPE

Abstract

With the aim of revisiting some theoretical-methodological characteristics of TOPE, this article does not focus on a systematizing reflection on identity in the variation of a linguistic form or on a theoretical exploration around any concept. We will make use of some objects, of a different nature. Some of them will be linguistic observable data constituted as problematizations for description. Others correspond to texts by non-linguist authors, especially by writers and poets, which contain intuitions which are similar or even in convergence with TOPE's theoretical-methodological characteristics. The same is true for other objects, in this case, non-linguistic objects, for example, images or artistic installations, which constitute other forms of non-linguistic thought, and which, as we propose, can help in the understanding of TOPE's theoretical concepts.

The aim of this paper is to give a guideline to the sequence of these phenomena, with descriptive hypotheses based on the Culiolian work program, but – it should be emphasized – without a systematizing pretension, even when each case would allow it. It brings me, therefore, a raising of problems, in a problematizing perspective and based on Culioli's work program. Therefore, we propose a survey of problems, in a problematizing perspective and based on Culioli's work programme.
