From epilinguistic activity to metalinguistic activity: a processual approach to Portuguese Language teaching

Abstract

This research approaches, by the means of the Theory of Enunciative and Predicative Operations, the theme of creativity in the process of teaching and learning argumentative essays. The culiolian enunciative model postulates that language is a constitutive activity. To argue in favor of the selected approach, the paper aims to discuss, through one representative example, how traditional tense and time classifications can be challenged. Therefore, the discussion concluded that creativity in essays is more than the apex of the language process, it´s also responsible for leaving traces of the utterer´s epilinguistic activity.

    Possui Doutorado em Linguística e Língua Portuguesa pela Universidade Estadual Paulista "Júlio de Mesquita Filho" (2003) e Pós-doutorado pela Universidade Federal de São Paulo. Atualmente é Professor Associado no Departamento de Letras da Universidade Federal de São Carlos, atuando nos cursos de Licenciatura em Letras, Bacharelado em Linguística e Pós-graduação em Linguística. Tem experiência na área de Linguística, com ênfase em Enunciação Linguística e Ensino de língua.

    Doutor em Linguística pelo Programa de Pós-Graduação em Lingüística pela Universidade Federal de São Carlos, com período sanduíche, fomentado pela CAPES, na Université Paris-Est Marne-laVallée - Paris/França no período de setembro de 2014 a setembro de 2015. Mestre em Linguística pela Universidade Federal de São Carlos. Licenciatura em Letras Português/Espanhol pela Universidade Federal de São Carlos. Tem pesquisado os mecanismos de deslocamentos enunciativos temporais em produções textuais de vestibular.
