A INFLUÊNCIA DOS GESTOS PARA A AQUISIÇÃO DE INGLÊS COMO L2

Na perspectiva multimodal, os gestos constituem parte integral da linguagem e operam em conjunto com a vocalização nas interações, formando uma única matriz linguística (MCNEILL, 1985). Este trabalho de cunho bibliográfico objetiva descrever o papel e a incidência dos diferentes tipos de gestos para o processo de aquisição da língua inglesa como L2 por crianças brasileiras em contexto bilíngue, tomando como base resultados obtidos por Peixoto (2020), dos quais se observou maior presença dos gestos dêiticos tanto na L1 quanto na L2, e estes se mostram facilitadores da fala.
