A REPRESENTAÇÃO ANIMAL EM TEXTOS EM PROSA: CONSIDERAÇÕES FEITAS A PARTIR DE EM BUSCA DE WATERSHIP DOWN

O artigo é uma investigação sobre a representação de animais em textos literários. De forma mais específica, trata-se da formulação do animal no romance Em Busca de Watership Down (2017, publicado originalmente em 1972 como Watership Down) do escritor Richard Adams. A partir de estudos sobre a obra em relevo e à luz da zooliteratura, afirma-se que a busca pela autenticidade na representação literária da animalidade implica tanto na busca de textos científicos quanto no emprego criativo da linguagem. Por fim, sugere-se que tal modelo possa vir a auxiliar a leitura de outros textos em prosa que representem animais.
