INCLUSION AND CITIZENSHIP FROM PHYSICAL EDUCATION FROM THE PROTECTIVE LEGISLATIVE PERSPECTIVE OF PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES:A CASE STUDY FROM THE CITY OF BRASNORTE-MT

Abstract

Physical Education as a tool for inclusion and citizenship plays an extremely 
important role in the development of people with disabilities (Steinhilber, 2023). 
Motor development (including for all disabilities) is directly linked to the child's 
integral education, as it is responsible for knowledge of the child's physical
motor, affective and cognitive structure (Pontes, 2021). However, the law 
proposes, in principle, to provide possibilities for implementing public policies of 
access and inclusion in the adequate development of the PWD population 
(Vicente, 2015). Therefore, this work will seek to understand the role of 
Paralympic sport in the inclusion of people with disabilities, providing the 
subject with society. Based on readings of law and physical education, 
argumentative guidelines will be listed for possible legal advances in protecting 
the rights of people with disabilities from CF/88 to the present, as well as 
understanding what inclusive physical education is from the point of view of 
service. to PCDs. The main method for carrying out this work is hypothetical 
deduction, with documentary and bibliographic analysis on the topic. Finally, 
a successful case of inclusion of people with disabilities will be presented 
through the INTEGRAR social project, carried out in the city of Brasnorte/MT. Finally, it is expected to contribute to improvements in discussions and 
academic contributions about people with disabilities, as well as their access 
to citizenship policies, in this case specifically Paralympic sport.
