The Legal-Social Vulnerability of Candomblé

This article aims to analyze the vulnerability of Candomblé, an Afro-Brazilian religion, in the legal and social context, highlighting the evolution of public policies, social attitudes and community resistance mechanisms. Through a literature review, the study investigates how Candomblé, throughout history, has been marginalized and discriminated against, but also how it resisted and adapted in the face of these adversities. It is concluded that, despite the vulnerabilities and discrimination suffered, Candomblé remains an essential religious practice for the construction of a more inclusive and just society
