THE ENFORCEMENT OF THE RIGHTS AND DUTIES PROVIDED FOR BY THE CRIMINAL EXECUTION LAW IN THE LIGHT OF THE “RECONSTRUING DREAMS” PROJECT: a case study

Abstract

This research proposes to carry out a study of the Project entitled “Reconstructing Dreams”, being linked to the Public Ministry of the State of Mato Grosso (MP-MT), in partnership with the Secretariat of State and Penitentiary Administration of Mato Grosso (SAAP), and whose target audience is people incarcerated in prison units in the State of Mato Grosso. The scope seeks to promote civic attitudes, encouraging reflection on post-prison life perspectives, and supporting the social reintegration of inmates of the penitentiary system through work and professional qualification. In this regard, we will carry out research that aims to analyze the potential contributions of this initiative to the lives of prisoners, as they are people historically deprived of basic social rights and opportunities. The nature of the research in this article is qualitative, with a monographic main methodology, that is, case study and with bibliographic and documentary stages. It is concluded that it is necessary to strengthen the resocialization of those re-educated, contributing to expanding the understanding of the meaning of life and promoting social reintegration, through qualification and qualification for the job market, through interinstitutional partnerships, to reduce criminal recidivism.
