La perspectiva de una madre: el papel central de la familia en el camino de aprendizaje de los niños

El autismo es una condición del neurodesarrollo caracterizada por manifestar dificultades y limitaciones en
la comunicación social y comportamientos repetitivos. Este estudio analizó los impactos de esta condición
en las familias, con énfasis en los desafíos enfrentados por madres, padres, educadores y cuidadores. La
investigación fue descriptiva, cualitativa y adoptó una metodología exploratoria mediante la aplicación de
dos entrevistas semiestructuradas para recopilar datos detallados sobre las experiencias de una madre con
su hijo autista. La entrevista permitió un análisis de las dificultades diarias, las estrategias de afrontamiento
y el impacto emocional y social del diagnóstico. Los resultados señalan que el autismo puede generar
sobrecarga emocional y financiera en las familias, lo que requiere apoyo continuo. Además, la disponibilidad
de asistencia psicológica y educativa se mostró esencial para la adaptación de los cuidadores. Se concluye
que el fortalecimiento de redes de apoyo y políticas públicas inclusivas es fundamental para minimizar los
desafíos enfrentados, promoviendo un mayor bienestar para las familias y para el niño con autismo.
