This review aims to highlight the epistemological obstacles presented by Gaston Bachelard in his work The Formation of the Scientific Spirit: Contribution to a Psychoanalysis of Knowledge, composed of twelve chapters, in which he establishes the formation of knowledge based on the new scientific spirit initiated in 1905 with the transformations experienced by Science after Einstein's Relativity. The author proposes that the construction of scientific knowledge is not uniform and that, in order to achieve this, it is necessary to overcome the following epistemological obstacles: first experience, general knowledge, verbal knowledge, unitary and pragmatic knowledge, substantialist, realistic, animist, myth of digestion, libido and quantitative. The work highlights the role of psychoanalysis as an instrument in the recognition of these affective knowledges, making their rupture and the formation of intellectuality possible.
