PRIVATIZATION AND THE RIGHT TO EDUCATION A PENDING DIALOGUE: WHAT THE SELECTED PRODUCTION SAYS

This is a bibliographic study, funded by FAPESP, carried Brazilian databases related to theses and dissertations and to journals . The productions were selected by the descriptors right to education and privatization and characterized according to bibliometric information and qualitative categories: empirical field; nature of the research; dimension and form of operationalization of the privatization of education; basic education stage; position of the work on the theme analyzed, private actor and its relation with the right education. The period, 1988 to 2018, considers 30 years of the legal guarantee of the right to education after Constitution. The results indicate: lack of quantitative research on this relation; prevalence of documentary research; centrality of studies on privatization of the educational offer and a favorable perspective to the transfer of responsibility for the offer, management or curriculum proposal of the state to private actors when they are constituted by social movements or popular organizations.
